It was an honor for the entire Extended Family of AL-YA’LU Superior School to have the opportunity to meet and hold a direct dialogue with the Minister of Primary and Secondary Education, Professor Dr. Abdul Mu’ti, M.Ed., during his working visit to Malang City on Friday, February 7, 2025.

No one was left behind. Everyone was enthusiastic to meet the Minister of Primary and Secondary Education directly, participating in the friendly gathering, including all student representatives: from Pre-Kindergarten students, who are still three years old, to Elementary and Junior High students, accompanied by the AL-YA’LU teaching staff.

The closeness of Minister Professor Dr. Abdul Mu`ti, M.Ed. with young children was clearly visible when he interacted with Pre-Kindergarten and Kindergarten students from AL-YA’LU Superior School.
The warmth of the Minister’s welcome was also evident when he dialogued with Elementary and Junior High students from AL-YA’LU Superior School. He gave tremendous appreciation to the AL-YA’LU delegation who had just returned from Japan to present their victory as the 1st Prize Winner of the SEAMEO-Japan ESD Award 2023, and that from September 9-13, 2024, four students and two teachers received an invitation from the Japanese Ministry of Education (MEXT) for a school visit to Japan. AL-YA’LU Superior Elementary School is the first Indonesian school to win the SEAMEO-Japan ESD Award since its implementation in 2012.
